  • This place is incredible. You get a focused workout with a coach that pushes you the whole time. The coach is also watching your form and will correct you if needed while in a group setting; which I appreciate being a trainer previously. I enjoy the energy of the place, its high. You also don't ever feel out of place. Everyone there is so friendly. I have recommended this place to many of my friends and have taken many there for workouts. If you are looking for something fun and that you will stick to, this is the place. And one more plug, if you were an athlete in high school or college, this will bring you home. D1 Baby!

  • I was looking for a gym that would motivate me and help further my fitness pursuits. The coaching and facility staff have been over the top friendly and informative. The equipment, facilities, and workouts are top-notch. I feel drained after every single workout, yet I want to come back for more the next day. If you are reading this review, trying to decide if this gym is for you, just do it. You will not regret your decision to sign up if your goal is to get in better shape or continue to stay in shape.

They are tough but reasonable and geared towards people who want a better general physical fitness and not just t-shirt muscles. I’m very happy with D1 STL West.

  • I love D1; great environment, some great coaches.... it has a family feel, and it definitely keeps ya motivated! The Bootcamp definitely works me out like I never have before, and I love that! The coaches are knowledgeable and great with giving modifications for your workout if there is something you are not capable of doing (due to injury). The people that are members there are just as awesome. I did the free 1-week trial and went every day of it, the signed up!

  • D1 provided me the workouts that I needed: fun atmosphere, group training classes, helpful and encouraging coaches, team training, and convenience of times and locations. I ran out of excuses! My initial goals were weight loss and to become "healthier" and "stronger." While I haven't exactly lost any pounds in the last month of training, I have noticed improved stamina throughout the workouts, decreasing recovery time, increasing flexibility, increased strength with higher weights, and improved mood overall. So far I love D1, and I highly recommend it to beginner through advanced athletes, kids, and adults.

  • You're not in it alone anymore. D1 Training is not just about the workout, it's about teamwork. I love that I can work out one day with a bunch of people I know all with different skill levels, and the next day it can be a totally different group, all working towards a better self. I've been at another gym for the last few years and was really looking to have to hire a personal trainer to challenge myself, but at D1 I get more than that. I get a coach and a team to work out with every day. The workouts constantly change and are even adapted mid-workout to accommodate for the group. Sometimes a little harder and sometimes a little less to keep our motivation going. Coach Q is always sure to throw on some extra weight on the prowler if he thinks I need it.

  • D1 is unlike any other gym you've been to. There's no monotony to the program and no confined spaces and machines because of the huge field. The coaches and the other people working out are always super positive and it'll keep you coming back. I do the Boot Camp and can feel the total body workout every time.

  • I am not a Division 1 athlete, but it sure is fun to train like one. Coach Q is truly one of the best and I can't speak highly enough about the community that is being created here. It's encouraging, it's warm, it's welcoming and there hasn't been a day that I have regretted coming at 6 a.m....Team Savage is really the best!!

  • There is such a great atmosphere! The coaches take time to introduce themselves to any new athletes, and then take enough time to explain the movements before the workout. The work is constant enough to never feel rested, but with short enough breaks where you don't constantly want to throw up. A great workout, but not so punishing that you dread going for the pain. Seriously, get in here.

  • From the first time I stepped on the turf, I knew this experience would be different. There’s a community I’ve been missing - I’ve found it here at 6:00 am. I have found that I push myself harder when I have my “teammates” cheering for me. The coaches are professional, knowledgeable, fun, encouraging, but expect no less than 110%. I’m thriving here and it’s only my 8th day. My kids love it, too. We haven’t missed a day!

I signed up my three kids and my two nieces. Since they started the workout training, they are more energized. The coaches motivated and encouraged them throughout the workout.   • “I am 47 years old and very athletically active my entire life, over the past 7 years I have stopped going to the gym, I had no interest in lifting weights and spending time in the gym, which felt weird to me as I was your typical "Gym Rat". I tried all the local gyms (at least 8) to see if I could gain that motivation back. I just could not get it back. I chalked it up to getting older and spending the better half of 40 years training for many different athletic endeavors, Maybe I was just burnt out and needed to accept that.

    I was not OK with that possibility, I know how beneficial cross training could be to my current athletic passions in addition to the health benefits. I knew a standard gym or group class would not interest me and I would fall into the same unmotivated state.

    When I saw the D1 signs on a building in Burlington, I was intrigued and pulled over at the next parking lot to google and see what it was all about. I spent about a half hour looking at all the YouTube videos of the classes and read about all the retired professional athletes who own franchises. This looked exactly like what I was looking for and missing since my competitive training days.

    When I reached out, the staff was extremely friendly, ENERGETIC and knowledgeable. We both decided that this is a good fit for what I have been looking for. I was so excited about the possibility of finding that competitive component that had been missing for a while that I signed up right away and was looking forward to my first class.

    When I showed up for my first class I was greeted by the friendly staff at the front door, immediately I felt like a part of the team. The facility is amazing, it has more than enough equipment, space and recovery tools. Its really a top of the line training facility, it looks like a pro sports team training facility.

    My first workout was great, the trainers are next level and the staff is beyond amazing. I knew 20 mins in that this was the right place for me and it has me doing things that I have not done in a long time. I thought I was getting old and was just going to accept the fact that I can't do what I used to be able to do. My experience at D1 has showed me that I was just missing the right training facility and program for me. I am now running, jumping, pushing, pulling and everything in between. As soon as I leave the gym I am looking forward to my next class. D1 is the right place for me and I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about making athletic improvements while having fun and getting healthy. I am so thankful that the ownership chose this location to open a D1.”

  • “I unexpectedly fell into finding out about D1 on Facebook one day. I honestly didn’t know what to expect but I knew that I needed to make change in my exercise routine as I entered another year around the sun. I could not be more pleased with the facility and the trainers!!! This training at D1 is probably the best I have ever had. Everyone is so kind and ready to help you meet your fitness goals. When you first sign up you are given a personal trainer which I feel is really the cherry on top. Justin is my trainer and he is very knowledgeable and really listens to what your fitness goals are to help you attain them. The group trainings are amazing and caters to everyone’s needs/limitations that you may have. I love that they emphasize the importance of warming up your body before starting routines to prevent injury. The variety of exercises you are given makes sure you are never bored. The trainers are always watching to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly. The facility itself is very clean and they have top of the line workout equipment. I absolutely love that they have the massaging hand held machine (name escapes me) for you to use at anytime. I absolutely love this place and you will not be disappointed to give them a try!!!!”

  • “I took the 6 weeks challenge. It was a great experience and feel much better in shape and have better posture. Before this, I had tried lifetime fitness, planet fitness, YMCA, Harvard athletic club and even boxing clubs and none of them gained traction or could get me to go there for more than a couple of times a month. At D1 training, you feel a part of the family, get personal training geared towards you and your body needs. It was here that for the first time the trainer (Ben) zoomed in on my individual muscle weaknesses and I found the very muscles causing my chronic back, neck and shoulder pains. Some pains that years of physical therapy was not able to pinpoint, or repair, were fixed here within a few sessions focused on those specific muscles. I have gained so much muscle within 6 weeks that all my friends and family members notice and applaud. Vic, Emily, Ben, Melanie, Garret, Justine and others at D1 Training are doing an amazing job and provide the best training you can possibly wish for in Massachusetts. I highly recommend them.”

  • D1 training has everything that I look for in a gym: great coaches, amazing facility, strength training, skill and function focused workouts designed to rapidly improve your overall health and quickly achieve goals. The 1:1 training sessions and adult classes are challenging, jam packed, and super fun. Within just 6 weeks I have achieved a feeling of health, flexibility, and strength that I haven't gotten anywhere else. Special shout out to Coach Ben for the amazing programing and fun workouts. Highly highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place to work out (and amazing people to work out with)!

I became very inactive due to the pandemic and once restrictions were lifted I had a difficult time motivating myself and holding myself accountable to meet my fitness goals. Fortunately the coaches and staff at D1 helped me find the motivation to get back in shape. All of the couches are great and the classes are challenging and fun at the same time. The other members are always there to cheer you on during class which makes the whole thing feel like a community. I recommend anyone looking to join a new gym to check D1 out.   • Nothing but love for D1 in Burlington! Through various moves, I've enjoyed working out in several different gyms but D1 in Burlington is hands down my favorite. The coaches are exceptional! They challenge but encourage. The people are full of camaraderie, and they enliven you to push harder than you would in other workout environments. I always look forward to being in the gym at D1!!!
