Baker Mayfield Pays It Forward With High-Energy D1 Youth Camp At Buccaneers Facility | D1 Daily

TAMPA — Energy was high inside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers indoor practice facility last Friday for the Baker Mayfield Youth Football Camp, hosted by D1 All Access.
Partnering with the Bucs starting quarterback, D1 Training brought elite-level coaching, non-stop energy, and pure inspiration to young athletes looking to elevate their game.
For three hours, more than 250 boys and girls ages 6-14 packed out the turf for on-field training, football drills, games and much more. Under the watchful eyes of Baker Mayfield and a team of elite D1 coaches, athletes pushed their limits through:
- Dynamic Football Drills: Focusing on the fundamentals of agility, footwork, and position-specific skills.
- 7-on-7 Games: Giving athletes the chance to implement what they learned in real-time game scenarios.
- Competitive 40-Yard Races: Where the kids got to show off their pure speed and sprint against their peers for a chance to win autographed footballs from Baker.
- Q&A & Meet-and-Greet: A dedicated session where kids got up close and personal with Baker to ask about life in the NFL, teammates, opponents and so much more.
Beyond the elite training, campers walked away with official, limited-edition Baker Mayfield Camp T-shirts to commemorate the day.
And Baker didn't come alone. To the absolute delight of the crowd, two of his prominent Buccaneers teammates stopped by to join in on the action: all-pro offensive lineman Tristan Wirfs and dynamic running back Bucky Irving.

Having that kind of star power on the field gave the kids a front-row seat to what elite leadership and teamwork look like at the highest level.
D1 All Access has previously hosted elite camps with superstars like Justin Jefferson, Deebo Samuel, and Bryce Young, among others. Bringing Baker Mayfield into the mix in the community he is actively raising his family in was the perfect next chapter.
The facility was a sea of Baker Mayfield jerseys, and at times, it was hard to tell who was having more fun: the hundreds of kids running the routes or Baker himself.
“I remember being their age, looking up to guys who played my position and wanting to be around them and have fun and just enjoy it,” Mayfield shared.

For many attendees, the day was about more than just sharpening their football skills—it was about fueling big dreams. Twelve-year-old camper Skylar Vanvaerenbergh, who wore her Mayfield jersey proud, shared her excitement as she prepares for her own future in flag football. "He’s the best player and he has such great leadership," Skylar told Spectrum News 9.
For Baker, seeing the next generation look up to him is a full-circle moment.
“That’s the best part,” Mayfield said. “I remember going to different football camps as a kid. I loved it, so to be able to do it and pay it forward’s awesome.”
