There is no official partnership between D1 Training and the Indianapolis Colts. But maybe there should be, after D1 Lakeland coach Seth Henigan recently joined longtime D1 ambassador Philip Rivers on the Colts roster.

Henigan joined D1 Training Lakeland near Memphis, Tenn., as a coach offering quarterback-specific and personal training in November.

On Saturday, Henigan was elevated from the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad to serve as the backup to quarterback Riley Leonard for the last game of the regular season.

While he was at the University of Memphis, Henigan passed for 14,266 yards and 104 touchdowns in his four-year career; both are records for the American Athletic Conference.

He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, but that did not deter him. He worked his way up to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad in April, and has now found a new home in Indianapolis.

He's only been at D1 Training for a few months, but he made a significant impact. The D1 Lakeland staff said he was passionate, humble and highly engaged with his clients, even while mixing in workouts for NFL teams.

Henigan even got a highlight on the broadcast, and D1 Lakeland made sure to capture the moment.

The 22-year age difference between Henigan and Rivers shows the effectiveness of D1 Training over the years.

“There's no better place to train than right here at D1,” Rivers said.
