D1 Welcomes Country Music Star Chase Rice To 'The Turf' | D1 Daily

Whether it be a Cy Young winner, a country music singer or an NFL player, you never know who'll make an appearance on The Turf.

"The Turf: Powered By D1" features D1 CEO Will Bartholomew interviewing high profile guests about their experiences with training.

The goal is to ultimately inspire listeners to continue their fitness journeys, however that may look.

On Tuesday, D1 filmed its second episode, where Bartholomew interviewed Chase Rice, a country music artist with 2.2 million monthly listeners. Rice also played linebacker at the University of North Carolina.

During the recording, Bartholomew and Rice discussed:

• Rice's takeaways after his recovery from a season-ending ankle injury his junior year

• The importance of a coach's attitude in youth athletics

• How he stays in shape while on tour

• How he applies his lessons from his football career to his career as a country singer
