Jeff Green Represents D1 In NBA Playoffs; Caitlin Clark Effect Hits D1 Carmel | D1 Daily

D1 Daily is a curated list of anecdotes and links with an eye towards training. The suggestion box is open.
The NBA Playoffs are in full swing, and D1 Training of course has a connection.
The Houston Rockets were the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and were upset in the first round by the Golden State Warriors. On the roster for the Rockets was Jeff Green, a 17-year veteran of the NBA.
Green, you may remember, is a D1 brand ambassador with a minority ownership stake. Green originally was drafted No. 5 overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2007 draft. The former Georgetown Hoya has played for 12 organizations over 17 seasons and has been with the Rockets since 2023.
Known as "Uncle Jeff" among the younger Rockets players, Green embraces his role as a mentor. He's eligible for an extension this offseason, so time will tell if Green (who turns 39 in August) will be back for an 18th year.
Franchise Focus
The Caitlin Clark effect brought the spotlight to D1 Carmel, where some of its young athletes talked to a local TV station about the Indiana Fever superstar's inspiration.
