What Is D1 Nation Thankful For? Family, Health, Training And Definitely Not Sled Pushes

The holiday season is a great time to reflect on the many blessings we have in life. We posed the question, What Are You Most Thankful For?, to everyone in the D1 Training community and the responses came rolling in.
From spouses and coaches to being cancer-free and injury-free, D1 Nation shared what's on their heart as they celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

Honestly, D1 being less than 5 minutes from my home. My workouts are life, wouldn’t know what to do without them. Almost 4 years in, I’m a lifer! D1 gives me an outlet, once you’re done with your good competing years what are you to do - marathons? Nope, not me! These workouts make me feel like I’m still a competitor and athlete. Plus, I love our adult class community - all walks of life. (Jennifer is pictured below, flexing in center, with her D1 Milton classmates.)

I am thankful for the opportunity to work for this team and this brand with the mission of changing people’s lives. We get to spend an hour a day with our athletes/clients/members and that’s the hour they get to escape anything they are dealing with, an hour for themselves, an hour to improve, and hour to unwind, an hour on the turf. I am thankful for the opportunity for that hour, ultimately impacting the rest of their day and life.

I am thankful to workout with so many incredible people and coaches who push me to be my best. As someone with a history of injuries, I am thankful for awesome coaches who give me confidence in the exercises I do each day. And of course I am thankful for my family! Both D1 & personal family!

I am thankful to be able to work for a company that impacts communities all over the nation! By working for D1, I get to show my kids that I am able to prioritize my own health, wellness and fitness by doing D1 workouts at home through the TeamBuildr app. (Devon's son Ellis is pictured below.)

I am thankful for my wife. She is a phenomenal partner and an amazing mother to our 5 month old son. And I am thankful for D1. Yes, the brand entirely. I applied for a job in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic for a part-time coaching role just to make a few bucks before I moved out of state. I was a college S&C coach previously. I had no idea there were legitimate opportunities for a career in the private sector for coaches. This brand has given me a career, an education in business, and a community. I am incredibly thankful for D1.
