15th Annual D1 Training Coach Summit Participants Hit the Turf with Peyton Manning

Once again, in July, the 15^th Annual D1 Coach Summit brought over 100 Coaches and Staff to New Orleans, Louisiana for training, enrichment, and community. As is tradition, the first day of the summit featured a visit to D1 celebrity owner Peyton Manning’s camp in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Attendance and participation at Manning Passing Academy gave D1 Training coaches a chance to lead large groups of youth athletes through intense lessons on the turf.

D1 Training Lake Orion, a newly opened location this year from Lake Orion, Michigan, sent two of their coaches to soak up the education and camaraderie.

Coach Kris Kath brought back useful tools and lessons to the gym, "The MPA was a great experience and opportunity to become a better D1 coach,” said Kath. “The atmosphere at the camp with all the coaches cannot be matched!"

Fellow D1 Lake Orion Coach, D’Anthony Austin soaked up the energy from being around so many likeminded individuals with similar goals. “It was a really fun experience being able to be around so many different coaches within D1 and getting to see and feel the energy behind D1!"

Day two of the summit continued at the New Orleans Saints practice facility, where coaches engaged in a full day of training and educational activities.
