D1 Training Honors Outstanding Coaches and Franchisees at Annual D1 Coach Summit

D1 Training was proud to honor individual coaches and facility teams at this year’s D1 Training Coach Summit, a two-day event held in New Orleans. The popular event brings together world-class coaches and staff for enrichment, on-field training, and D1 Training community.

The Annual Coaching Awards represent the excellence and dedication of D1 Training coaches systemwide. These awards highlight those who exemplify the core values of D1 Training, and showcase their commitment to integrity, professionalism, hard work, and overall outstanding coaching.

Being able to honor those coaches around the country for their exceptional ability to serve clients in the highest capacity and see firsthand the constant hunger for continuous improvement is remarkable,” said Chad Barribeau, D1 Training Director of Corporate Stores and one of the presenters of the evening. “It’s what makes this franchise truly special. Attending this event is the definition of iron sharpens iron.”

In addition to the Annual Coaching Awards, D1 Training also honored individuals across the D1 Nation for their outstanding performance and commitment to the 28 Day Playbook Mastery challenge. This was an online curriculum created by the home office Operations team to sharpen performance systemwide.

Austin Clark is the VP of Operations for D1 Training and says the ops team was blown away by the number of participants and overall enthusiasm for the challenge. "The 28 Day Playbook Mastery challenge exemplified the principle of 'iron sharpens iron.' Our facilities collaborated, coached each other, competed hard, and united around the common goal of mastering the D1 playbook so they could best serve their athletes moving forward,” he said. “The challenge not only improved facility performance but also laid the foundation for a stronger community among our franchise locations. I couldn’t be more excited about the growth we saw during the challenge and the opportunity to carry this momentum forward!”

Carly Normandeau from home office support, said it was the interaction with participants that made the difference.

“I personally loved being able to get to know the owners, GMs, and coaches involved on the calls,” said Normandeau. “Hearing from them directly and seeing everyone’s faces definitely built a strong community!” The challenge ended at Coach Summit, where the awards were given at a second ceremony aside from the other awards.

The recipients of the 2024 D1 Annual Coaching Awards, and D1 28-Day Operations Challenge Awards, were as follows:

  1. D1 Core Values Award: D1 Training Port Orange – This award celebrates D1 Port Orange for embodying the core values of D1 Training and fostering an environment of trust, respect, and growth among clients and fellow coaches.
  2. D1 Way Award: D1 Training West NOLAThis award celebrates D1 West NOLA for showcasing exceptional coaching expertise and a relentless commitment to client success.
  3. Highest Retention Award: D1 Training South Lake – This award celebrates D1 South Lake for its remarkable commitment to client retention, forming strong and enduring relationships with clients to support their fitness journey
  4. Graduate Award: D1 Training South Lake – This award recognizes exceptional business acumen and commitment to client satisfaction and has earned D1 South Lake this award for achieving the highest revenue per member.
  5. Most PT Sessions Serviced Award: Marshall Everett, D1 Training Little Rock -- Marshall’s dedication to personal training has resulted in delivering the highest number of personal training sessions, positively impacting the fitness journeys of his many clients.
  6. Most 5-Star Reviews Award: D1 Training Littleton SW (Not pictured) -- The team at D1 Littleton SW has consistently received glowing reviews from satisfied clients, which reflects their dedication to providing world-class fitness training experiences.
  7. Most 1:1 Clients Award: D1 Training Little Rock -- D1 Little Rock’s commitment to personalized coaching is evident in their recognition for having the highest number of one-on-one clients served.
  8. Most Group Workouts Award: Chris Alexander, D1 Training Cool Springs – Chris’s dedication to group coaching has allowed D1 Training Cool Springs to provide outstanding fitness experiences to many clients and build a strong sense of community.
  9. The Workhorse Award: Harrison Price, D1 Training Little RockHarrison’s tireless dedication and commitment to coaching across various services has earned him the esteemed Workhorse Award, recognizing the D1 Coach who has coached the most sessions systemwide.
