Achieve Your 2025 Goals With These Four Foundational Tips From Tim Tebow

Author: D1 Training

Tim Tebow is many things. Heisman Trophy winner. National champion. Former NFL quarterback. Professional baseball dream chaser. Motivational speaker. College football broadcast analyst. D1 Training investor and partner. Author. Husband. Man of God.

Boiling Tebow down to one word: Doer. He gets things done, and as the new year begins, here are four tips direct from Tebow on how to turn resolutions into results:

Ride The Emotional Roller Coaster And Don’t Get Off

There's a reason why 90% of us that have New Year's resolutions quit within a month. It's because we had a dream, we didn't have a goal. It was something we wanted to accomplish, it wasn't something worth suffering to accomplish. You're really saying that I'm going to let my emotions dictate my choices. Because I wanted it until I no longer felt like it. Your emotions are going to be a roller coaster. My convictions are going to say, I'm going to choose to do this as best I can. No matter what.

Group Effort Unlocks Individual Potential

I believe it is a myth to think we could possibly be our best and do it alone. We really say, 'Okay, I want to be my best.' Then guess what? I better surround myself with people that are going to push me, inspire me, and lift me up to being my best. Not people that are going to tell you what you want to hear, people that are going to tell you what you need to hear. There's no chance of accomplishing you being your best without having wise counsel, challenging, encouraging, loving, compassionate friends and mentors.

Training Is More Than Just Sweating

It's not just about the training. It's also about challenging and encouraging the emotional and the spiritual part as well. It's not just about my physical strength. It's also about my discipline. It's also about the inspiration. It's about all of these encouraging things so that I might be fed physically and emotionally and spiritually and with fellowship and with a community. And all of that is so critically important.

It Matters If It’s A Dream Or A Goal

Setting goals and having a vision of what you want to be is so important. Because if not, it's a dream, not a goal. There's a big difference. Some people, when they hit the suck, they were willing to endure. They were willing to embrace it. Before you just write down a frivolous dream, make sure that's a goal. Saying, 'It is worth suffering for. It is worth sacrificing for.’
