The purpose of the
D1 Football Apex Academy is to help athletes of all ages develop the necessary skills and fundamentals
to compete in the sport of football. Our mission is to develop the Apex
athlete within each individual by focusing on sport performance, while
placing a major emphasis on instilling/inspiring skills and traits that
lead to future success in all aspects of life.
The Academy will provide individualized attention to our Apex Athletes
in order to develop their skill to produce results through proven methods.
Focus will be placed on position-specific training/fundamentals as well
as power and speed development. This individualized approach caters to
the needs of each of our athletes, ensuring the maximal growth in each
training session.
Apex 1-ON-1 Training, Semi-Private Training (1-4), and Group/Team Training(5+)
Athletes in the Apex Academy work at their football skill year round (In-season/Off-season).
Our individualized approach is based on proven methods developed through
NFL and Division 1 Collegiate experience/education.

NFL/Collegiate Off-Season Training
Inside the Apex Academy, Our blueprint for off season training is designed
to keep collegiate and professional athletes at peak performance. Our
NFL/Div. 1 experience and educational background provides the know-how
of what it takes to be competitive and to continuously earn your spot.
Our comprehensive and individualized approach through the off-season,
allows athletes to continue to build strength and sharpen skills in order
to report to camp at the top of their game.

Combine/Pro-Day Training
Athletes will be tested at the start of our program to establish a baseline
for future comparison. We will then test again before departure to demonstrate
improvements and preparation for Combine/Pro-Day success.
Karter Schult, a retired NFL athlete, has a very decorated football pedigree
including having spent 3 seasons as a member of the Cleveland Browns,
Carolina Panthers, and Minnesota Vikings.
Prior to his NFL experience, Karter had a distinguished, dominant, and
celebrated collegiate career at the University of Northern Iowa. During
his time at UNI, he was a 3-year starter that collected multiple years
of academic and athletic accomplishments/accolades including Athletic/Academic
All-America Teams as well as many others. At the conclusion of his collegiate
career he left as one of the most decorated athletes in UNI Football History.
Karter still holds multiple defensive season/career records, won MVFC
player of the year, FCS defensive player of the year, and became the 1st
player in UNI football history to win the Buck Buchanan Award.
He also had an outstanding academic career at the University of Northern
Iowa, where he was nominated as a finalist for the William V. Campbell
Trophy. He went on to graduate with a 3.9 GPA and earned his Bachelor’s
Degree in Exercise Science while continuing to pursue his Master’s
Degree in the same field. His vast knowledge and experience has helped
him specialize in Speed/Power Development, Strength training, Sport Specific
training, Combine training, and much more.

Every D1 Training center offers customized equipment that’s not found in any other facility. We also offer on-site weight rooms, retail centers and more.
Sports Science Backing
D1’s core 5-Star program is designed by a national training panel, where D1 then layers in skills-development training to create a well-rounded program.
Targeted Workouts
Daily workouts designed around the concept of periodization means that each week builds on the previous one to achieve targeted, specific goals.
