“I first started going to D1 every once in a while in June of 2022 but would only go about once every 2 weeks. I started going at least a few times a week in January of 2023. I now go almost 5 times per week because I truly enjoy going. Thanks to working out at D1, I have managed to lose 10 pounds of fat and gain 10 pounds of muscle.
I played college hockey and have found it really hard to get back into the gym consistently but the energy and supportive community at D1 has made it easy to love working out again. From the coaches to the other athletes, everyone is happy, pushes each other and so supportive whether you’re at the 515am or the 620pm workout. They walk through form of exercises, talk about nutrition and diet, but have a great balance where they want you to live your life too.
I’ve gotten to a point where if I don’t go to D1 I miss it rather than feeling like working out is a chore.
When I joined my goal was to get leaner and get into better shape so that I could play hockey or any other sport without being completely exhausted afterwards. I couldn’t finish my first workout at D1. Now, I feel like I can give my all from start to finish and still go about my day afterwards.
The most important things that helped me to succeed in making progress towards my goals are the supportive community, the great coaching, their attention to detail and how much fun it is to be there with the coaches and other athletes.
I love going to D1 and look forward to continuing to hit my goals with their help!
