D1 DeLand Hosts Run Clinic For Amputees: 'It Was An Awesome Day' | D1 Daily

D1 Daily is a curated list of anecdotes and links with an eye towards training. The suggestion box is open.
On June 28, D1 DeLand (Fla.) hosted a run clinic that was focused on building confidence, breaking barriers and proving that every step forward is a victory.
The clinic was hosted with Bremer Orthotics & Prosthetics and focused fitting amputees with custom running blades on-site courtesy of Levitate.
Physical therapists were also on-site to help familiarize the participants with their new running blades.
The run clinic was meaningful for D1 DeLand owner Marabeth Hardwick.
"It was really inspiring to see amputees properly fitted and taught how to run and exercise in their new blade. There were high fives, hugs, cheers, tears, and a D1 Breakdown. It was an awesome day," she said. "We will absolutely host it again in the future and encourage other D1s to do so as well."
Also hear from Kyle, who participated in the event, about how impactful the workout was for him.
