D1 Gainesville Welcomes Florida Gators Star QB DJ Lagway For Offseason Training | D1 Daily
Following his sophomore season at the University of Florida, star QB DJ Lagway decided to level up his training game at D1 Gainesville.
The relationship started through one of D1 Gainesville's founding members, who works with Lagway.
When Lagway's personal trainer visited the facility, he knew it would be the perfect place for the QB to train.
Now, instead of the football turf, Lagway spends his time training on D1's turf, working on coordination, speed, and explosiveness.
For franchisee Jason Diven, who met at his wife Lindsay at the University of Florida, the situation seems almost unreal.
“I never could have dreamed up a scenario where the starting quarterback, DJ Lagway no less, was working out next to me and using the facility that we built,” he said. “I'm not really sure it has sunk in yet.”
But it also proves one thing to Diven.
“D1 is truly the place for the athlete.”
