The Three UFL Hopefuls

As fall quickly approaches, football has started to take over the minds of millions of Americans who will watch their teams take the field in September.

But for three D1 Lakeland coaches, September serves as an opportunity for them to continue their professional football dreams in the United Football League, an eight-team pro league that plays its games in the spring.

On Sept. 14, Coach Vincent, Coach Quincy and Coach Cormontae will head to Atlanta for the UFL Showcase, where players look to impress UFL General Managers heading into the 2026 UFL Draft through drills and gameplay that showcase their abilities.

All three coaches have lots of experience playing college football that could help them play spring football in 2026.

Coach Vincent played wide receiver at Mississippi State and Austin Peay. During his football career, Coach Vincent racked up impressive accolades including:

2022 NAIA Top 3 in yards per catch and Top 4 in Receiving TDs

Now at D1 Lakeland, Coach Cormontae said he's been preparing for this moment.

"I’ve been approaching this opportunity with the same mindset I bring to coaching and training every day with disciplined and consistent work," he said. "I’m locking in on my strength, speed, and conditioning so that when I step on the field, I can show the best version of myself."
