Former NFL Player Chris Okoye Jr. Works Out, Lets Loose At D1 Training Novi | D1 Daily

D1 Novi has become a hub for former NFL and college football standouts.
Most recently, former NFL defensive lineman Chris Okoye Jr. shared a video of his workout at the facility, thanking them for letting him take over the music.
For the Northville, Michigan native, his connection to D1 goes years back.
“I've been around D1 since I was a kid, going to camps and events, and I've trained at different locations in California and Florida during my playing career,” Okoye said.
Now, he's keeping up the same energy that attracted him so many years ago.
“The energy is right, the environment is competitive but supportive, and you can see the impact it has on the kids,” Okoye said. ”It's a place where if you show up, work, and stay consistent, you can really take your game to the next level."
Okoye entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and played three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, and another with the Los Angeles Chargers. He later joined the USFL.
The facility's location in Novi, Michigan has brought in a few former Michigan State Spartans as well. Okoye teamed up with former Spartan standout offensive tackle Zach Heuter.
Former NFL player and Spartan Jeremy Langford has been active at D1 Novi too.
He's even developing his own camp for athletes later this month.
