Mom's Nostalgic Post Tells Tale Of College QB's Path From Philip Rivers' 2012 D1 Camp | D1 Daily

For over two decades, D1 Training has been training athletes of all ages. As time moves on, the results of training, especially from young athletes, become apparent.
A recent Facebook message alerted us to one of those athletes: Walker Harris, quarterback at North Carolina Central University. Harris has gone on to do great things after attending Philip Rivers' D1 Training camp more than a decade ago.

Fourteen years ago, Harris was an 11-year-old training with Philip Rivers at D1 Raleigh on the NCCU campus.
In November, Harris became the first NCCU player to pass for over 3,000 yards in a season.
The lefty quarterback finished his collegiate career with 5,777 passing yards and 47 passing touchdowns.
He's also played in two games at Lucas Oil Stadium, the former home stadium of Philip Rivers. He passed for 508 yards, nine touchdowns and no interceptions in those two games.
Harris will also participate in the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl next month.
Once his playing days are over, he plans to open a gym, according to his mom.
“Big fan of Philip Rivers, and always grateful for the D1 Training foundation!” she said.
