It is officially week two of the D1 $10K National Challenge, a six-week challenge across all D1 facilities consisting of hundreds of athletes competing for the best transformation.
Here's a look at some of the top facilities from across the nation:
D1 Mandeville
Coaches at D1 Mandeville, the challenge's leader in facility sign-ups, have been providing helpful tips and incentives to keep its athletes on track.
D1 West NOLA
D1 West NOLA, which finished third in total sign-ups, has been putting in work through the first week.
D1 Rancho Santa Margarita
Meanwhile, athletes Dylan and Alyssa Morrison from D1 Rancho Santa Margarita have shown what week one was all about: accountability.
How The D1 National Challenge Works
The National Challenge runs from March 2 to April 11. $10,000 will be handed out to the winners, and here's how you can rack up points:
- 1 Point Per Class Attended (Max 5 Per Week)
- 1 Point Per Percentage of Body Fat Lost
- 1 Point Per Percentage of Muscle Gained
- 1 Point Per Social Media Post (Once Weekly)
Each week, there is a new micro challenge to keep athletes engaged and focused on incremental progress. Week 2's micro challenge is 10,000 steps.
